Specialist Social Worker Opportunity – Hendon / Barnet
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Social Worker to join a service in the Hendon / Barnet area of North London.
We are particularly looking for a Social Worker who is ParentAssess trained and able to undertake specialist assessments as soon as possible.
Offering £40,000–£45,000 per annum, this position would suit an experienced practitioner with a strong background working with children and families, who is confident completing high-quality assessments and producing clear, evidence-based reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive social work and specialist assessments
- Complete ParentAssess assessments where required
- Work directly with children, parents and families
- Produce clear, analytical and evidence-based assessment reports
- Identify strengths, risks and areas requiring additional support
- Maintain accurate and timely case records
- Work effectively with Local Authorities and other professionals
- Participate in multi-agency meetings where required
- Maintain excellent safeguarding practice
- Ensure assessments are completed professionally and within required timescales
Essential Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Current professional registration required to practise as a Social Worker in England
- Experience working with children and families
- ParentAssess training and/or demonstrable ParentAssess experience
- Experience undertaking comprehensive assessments
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Excellent report-writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage assessments independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and multi-agency working skills
The ability to undertake specialist assessments promptly is particularly important for this vacancy.
