Junior Account Executive
Commercial & Mid-Market Sales | Pulsar Next Gen Consulting
Reporting to
Sales & Marketing Lead, with day-to-day mentoring and support from a senior Account Executive.

Purpose and Objective of the Role
The Junior Account Executive supports growth within Pulsar’s commercial and mid-market client segments, working closely with the sales team to build core selling skills across the full client lifecycle. This entry-level, quota-supported role is designed to develop a well-rounded technology salesperson – building client relationships, supporting new business generation, and learning to position Pulsar’s ServiceNow-aligned services, implementation offerings, and consultancy solutions.
Suited to an ambitious, early-career candidate – graduate or first move into tech/consultancy sales – looking to build a foundation in structured, consultative selling with a clear pathway to progress into a full Account Executive role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting Commercial Accounts
- Support and, over time, take ownership of a small book of commercial/SMB accounts under the guidance of a senior Account Executive.
- Help build and maintain relationships with client contacts and day-to-day stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying account growth opportunities and flag these to the wider account team.
- Contribute to a positive client experience and support smooth handoffs to delivery teams.
Sales Activity & Pipeline Development
- Work towards an individual contribution target, supporting the team’s wider annual revenue goals.
- Generate new business leads through proactive outreach, prospecting, and network building.
- Support and, with growing independence, run early-stage sales conversations and discovery calls.
- Assist with proposals, pricing documents, and follow-ups under supervision of the Account Executive and Solutions Consultants.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless territory and account coverage.
- Partner with Solutions Consultants to help prepare solution propositions and demonstrations.
- Support Marketing with campaign follow-up, lead qualification, and event participation.
- Keep CRM records accurate to support pipeline reporting and forecasting.
ServiceNow & Technology Alignment
- Build foundational knowledge of Pulsar’s ServiceNow capabilities, implementation services, and consultancy offerings.
- Develop understanding of commercial clients’ business and operational needs.
- Stay curious about market trends, competitor activity, and emerging client challenges.
Reporting & Performance
- Maintain up-to-date pipeline activity and CRM records.
- Provide weekly sales activity updates to the Account Executive and Sales & Marketing Lead.
- Support monthly reporting on account activity and growth opportunities.
- Follow the defined sales process, building towards accurate forecasting and qualification skills.
Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 0–2 years’ experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role; graduates and career-changers welcome.
- A genuine interest in a career in technology, SaaS, or consultancy sales.
- Early evidence of a target-driven mindset – through work experience, education, or personal achievements.
- Confident, personable communicator, comfortable building rapport with a range of stakeholders.
- Curiosity about ServiceNow, digital transformation, and enterprise service management (training provided).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised, proactive, and keen to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset with clear ambition to progress towards a full Account Executive role.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
