Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed trucks, to transport goods efficiently across designated routes
- Load and unload products with care, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Verify delivery orders against shipment documentation for accuracy before departure
- Navigate using GPS and route planning tools to optimize delivery schedules and meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery times and address any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for all shipments
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for operating commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading heavy or bulky items
- Strong organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and adhere to schedules
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
