Job Title: Mobile Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Rotherham / Barnsley / Doncaster Area (Applicants must reside within this area)
Salary: £14.30 per hour
Hours: 4 On / 4 Off Rota
Typical Start Time: Between 06:00 – 07:00 (depending on operational requirements)
Shift Length: Approximately 6–12 hours per day, depending on the daily schedule.
Company Vehicle: Company van provided for business use.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and highly motivated Mobile Cleaning Supervisor to join our expanding team. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for supporting our cleaning operations across multiple sites, ensuring high standards are maintained while providing supervisory support across the business.
The successful candidate must be prepared to travel daily, work flexibly, and be available to cover operational requirements as needed.
Your work diary and schedule will normally be issued every Friday for the following working period; however, flexibility is essential as priorities may change to meet business demands.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Cleaning Duties
- Provide holiday and sickness cover across various customer sites.
- Carry out daily commercial cleaning duties where required.
- Complete builders cleans, sparkle cleans, and one-off deep cleaning projects.
- Undertake specialist cleaning within:
- Offices
- Manufacturing facilities
- Warehouses
- Welfare facilities
- Biohazard environments (full training and PPE provided where applicable)
- Other specialist cleaning environments.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed safely and to the highest standard.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Carry out routine cleaning audits and quality inspections.
- Complete staff welfare visits and performance checks.
- Support the onboarding of new cleaning operatives.
- Assist with training and coaching staff where required.
- Ensure company standards and client expectations are consistently met.
- Report any issues, concerns, or site defects to management.
Operational Support
- Deliver cleaning stock, consumables, PPE, and uniforms to customer sites.
- Assist with setting up new contracts and supporting mobilisation of new sites.
- Provide supervisory cover during annual leave or sickness of other supervisors.
- Respond to emergency cleaning requirements and short-notice operational requests.
- Maintain accurate audit records and complete company documentation.
Company Vehicle
A company van will be provided for business use.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Drive responsibly and in accordance with company policies.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable.
Working Hours
- 4 On / 4 Off shift pattern.
- Typical start times between 06:00 and 07:00.
- Working days will generally range between 6 and 12 hours, depending on operational requirements.
- Flexibility is essential as shift lengths and finish times may vary.
- Daily schedules will normally be provided each Friday for the following working period.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must live within the Rotherham, Barnsley or Doncaster area.
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Comfortable working across a variety of environments.
- Willingness to travel between multiple customer locations.
- Smart, professional appearance.
- Reliable and punctual.
Desirable Experience
- COSHH awareness.
- Health & Safety knowledge.
- Biohazard or trauma cleaning experience (desirable but not essential).
- Experience within manufacturing and industrial cleaning.
- Experience using scrubber dryers and specialist cleaning equipment.
- Experience carrying out cleaning audits and quality inspections.
