Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Side Loader Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating side loader, handling Steelwork efficiently, and ensuring timely delivery and collection of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to our operational success. The position involves heavy lifting and requires a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate side loader / Forklifts in accordance with company policies and road safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track deliveries, stock levels, and movement of goods.
- Report faults promptly to minimise downtime.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and securement during transit.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and loading equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Assist with materials handling tasks within the warehouse as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience operating side loaders / Forklifts within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is advantageous.
- Experience with forklift operation and materials handling is preferred.
- Prior warehouse experience demonstrating knowledge of safety protocols, load securement, and equipment operation is highly desirable.

Pay: £30,420.00-£36,504.00 per year
