Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dog Groomer to join our professional grooming team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of all sizes and breeds using appropriate techniques and products
- Trimming, clipping, and styling coats according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Cleaning ears, trimming nails as needed to ensure pet comfort and health
- Maintaining a clean and organised grooming station, including sanitising tools and equipment after each use
- Consulting with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and providing advice on pet care and maintenance
- Monitoring pets during grooming for signs of distress or health issues, reporting concerns to owners or veterinary professionals when necessary
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
- Upholding health and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog grooming or relevant qualifications.
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- A genuine love for animals combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to pet grooming environments
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
