Overview
We are seeking a skilled ADT Operator specialised in operating Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manoeuvring heavy-duty dump trucks across various sites, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to large-scale projects within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate articulated dump trucks safely and efficiently across construction sites and haul routes.
- Conduct routine inspections of the ADT to ensure it is in proper working condition, reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring load security and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of loads transported, including weight and destination details.
- Follow all safety regulations and site-specific procedures to minimise risks during operations.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate material movement and site logistics.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and minor troubleshooting as required.
Skills
- Proven experience operating articulated dump trucks, with a solid understanding of their mechanics.
- Mechanical knowledge to identify potential issues and perform simple maintenance or troubleshooting tasks.
- Experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is advantageous.
- Commercial driving experience with valid licences appropriate for operating heavy vehicles on-site and on public roads.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to safety standards and operational procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining high safety standards.
