Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Van Driver/ Removalist with team leader experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the driving, packing, loading, transporting, and unloading of goods for residential and commercial clients. This role requires heavy lifting and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth moving process. A valid driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive and operate a van or during removals.
Duties
- Assist in the packing of items securely and efficiently for transport.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
- Drive the removal vehicle safely to various locations as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on the moving process and address any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and equipment used during removals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols while handling heavy items and operating vehicles.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role or in warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the day.
- Experience driving a 3.5t van or similar
- Team leading experience
- Valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is essential.
