We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice due to maternity . The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication skills. Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort and reassurance throughout treatment
- Assist dentists during procedures, maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using IT systems
- Greet patients warmly, check-in and check-out procedures, and handle patient enquiries both face-to-face and via telephone
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, processing payments, and managing correspondence
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, post-treatment care, and appointment reminders
Qualifications
- recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse with valid registration (e.g., GDC registration)
- Proven experience in a dental nursing or reception role within a dental practice
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
- Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a professional demeanour
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
