Salary: £33,000 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent)
Are you an experienced Kitchen Manager with a passion for delivering nutritious, high-quality meals? We're looking for someone to lead our kitchen team in our established nursing home, providing exceptional dining experiences for adults aged 18 and over in a warm, homely environment.

About the Role
As our Kitchen Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
Working closely with our care and nursing teams, you'll help create enjoyable mealtimes that meet the individual needs of our residents, including preparing specialist and modified diets where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen.
- Prepare fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Order, receive and store food supplies efficiently.
- Plan and prepare meals, including specialist and modified diets.
- Support nursing and care staff to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.
- Maintain accurate kitchen records and documentation.
- Lead by example and ensure the kitchen operates safely, efficiently and effectively.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in Catering or Professional Cookery.
- Has previous kitchen management or supervisory experience.
- Has a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene legislation.
- Is organised, reliable and able to prioritise a busy workload.
- Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can think on their feet, make confident decisions and keep the kitchen running smoothly, even during busy periods.
- Is passionate about providing high-quality meals that make a real difference to residents' wellbeing.
