We are seeking a passionate and energetic Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team.
This is an advert for 3 roles: 1 Full Time Room Lead and 2 Part Time Practitioners including a generous 4 week annual leave PLUS a paid two week Christmas closure. The setting is also closed on Bank Holidays.
This role (Room Lead) will include a 4 day working week with 7.45am starts and 6pm finishes in our 3-4 Year old Room and the Part Time roles will be 4 days 31.25/35 hours per week in Baby Room.
The ideal candidate will ideally hold a relevant Level 3 qualification, although Level 2 applications will be considered. The role involves providing a high standard of physical, social and intellectual education, both indoors and outdoors, at all times. Working closely with the other members of our team to offer a programme of activities suitable to the age range of the children and developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
You will assist in delivering a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and responsible. We serve children with a wide range of needs so a keen interest in child care and child development is important. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with parents are also essential. The successful candidate must be a team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote childhood development, literacy education, and early intervention strategies.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Support Babies, toddlers and preschoolers with their physical care needs while encouraging independence in daily routines.
- Implement classroom management practices to ensure safety, engagement, and smooth transitions throughout the day.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and welfare.
- Maintain accurate records related to child welfare and developmental assessments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention methods.
- Familiarity with curriculum development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- A genuine passion for childcare, daycare practices, and fostering a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification or equivalent
- Experience working in a nursery setting or with young children
- First Aid certification is preferred
