Job Title: ASN Support Worker (Driver)
Location: Wishaw (2 Positions) & Coatbridge (2 Positions)
Pay: Up to £14.24 per hour (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
Hours: Casual Working Hours Agreement with flexible shifts to fit around your availability. Hours are offered according to service needs and are not guaranteed.

About the Role
Every day is different. You might be supporting a young person to develop life skills, enjoy a trip to the park, visit a café, take part in community activities, or simply build confidence through play and positive relationships.
We are looking for compassionate and committed ASN Support Workers to join our North Lanarkshire team in Wishaw and Coatbridge.
You will work alongside other ASN Support Practitioners, providing 1:1 and 2:2:1 support within the community and family homes. Your role will involve supporting young people with a range of additional support and complex needs while working towards positive SHANARRI outcomes (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Included).
As part of this role, you will also use your own vehicle to transport service users safely between community activities and support sessions.
Essential Requirements
- Use your own vehicle during shifts to travel between support sessions and transport service users where required.
- You must be available to work weekends.
- Experience supporting children or adults with additional support needs, autism, learning disabilities or complex behaviours is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support based on individual support plans.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote independence, wellbeing and skill development.
- Fully engage with children and young people through play and meaningful interaction.
- Record progress and outcomes using our online recording system.
- Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and expenses.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to discuss progress and any concerns.
- Attend training, meetings and continuous professional development.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and organisational procedures.
Person Specification
- Experience supporting children or adults with additional support needs, autism, learning disabilities and/or complex behavioural needs.
- Qualification in health, social care, education or a related field and/or relevant experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle and willingness to use it during shifts.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and school holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically able to participate in activities with children and young people.
- Competent IT skills for recording notes, timesheets and support outcomes.
