Our club is seeking a reliable and proactive Tennis Club Caretaker to take responsibility for the daily upkeep, safety, and smooth running of our courts, clubhouse, and grounds. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys working in an active, outdoor environment.

Whitecraigs Tennis, Squash & Fitness Club is a multi‑sport members’ club in Giffnock, Glasgow, known for high‑quality racket‑sport facilities, a friendly community atmosphere, and a strong programme delivered by LTA qualified tennis coaches and experienced Squash coaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily court maintenance — Inspect courts, clean surfaces, check nets, and ensure all equipment is safe and ready for play.
- Groundskeeping —Leaf clearing, bins and keeping outdoor areas tidy. Liasing with garden contractor
- Minor repairs — Basic fixes, replacing bulbs, tightening fittings, reporting larger issues.
- Health & safety checks — Logging inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring safe facilities.
- Event support — Preparing courts and facilities for matches, coaching sessions, and club events.
Person Specification
- Practical maintenance skills and confidence using tools.
- Knowledge of tennis court care (training can be provided).
- Good communication skills and a friendly, member‑focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work in all seasons.
- Reliable and self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in groundskeeping, caretaking, or sports facilities is desirable but not essential.
