Position: Islamic Supplementary School Teacher
Location: Royal Lane, Uxbridge
Hours: Saturdays, 3 hours per week (Term Time Only)
Salary: Based on qualifications and experience

About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a committed and knowledgeable Muslim Islamic Studies Teacher to teach and inspire our female students in a nurturing Islamic environment. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of the Qur’an, Sunnah and Islamic Studies, demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, and be committed to promoting Islamic values and good character.

As this role is responsible for teaching Islamic Studies and supporting the Islamic ethos of the school, applicants are required to be practising Muslims.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Islamic Studies, Qur'an, and related subjects to children of various age groups.
- Ensure accurate and confident Qur'an recitation.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
- Foster good Islamic manners (Akhlaq) and encourage positive behaviour.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and fellow teachers.
- Proactive and flexible due to nature of work.
- Attend occasional staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Essential Requirements
- Graduate from a recognised university in the UK or overseas / or NVQ Level 3
- Practising Muslim, ready to be a role model for young learner.
- Good Qur'an recitation.
- Teaching experience in the UK or abroad.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and helping them develop their Islamic knowledge and character.
- Ability to prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in related field.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., or overseas equivalent).
- Experience teaching Qur'an, Islamic Studies, or Arabic.
- Knowledge of the UK safeguarding requirements.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
