Excalibur Networks is a rapidly growing telecommunications company specialising in fibre optic infrastructure across London and the South East. We work with leading telecom providers delivering fibre installations, network builds, surveys, testing and maintenance.
We're looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in the fibre industry. No previous fibre experience is required—we're looking for the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
We have a track record of trainees excelling in their roles, with most becoming fully trained and out in their own vans in a year.
The Role
As a Trainee Fibre Engineer, you'll work alongside an experienced engineer, learning the skills required to become a fully qualified Fibre Engineer.
You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of live projects, including fibre installations, splicing, testing and fault finding, with full training provided.
Essential Requirements
Before applying, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Must be based in Kent.
- Aged 17-21 Ideally
- Must hold a full UK driving licence or currently be actively working towards obtaining one.
- Must be able to travel to meet the engineer you'll be working with each day if required. This may involve early morning starts and travelling to different locations across Kent or the South East.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
- Excellent attitude and willingness to learn.
- Right to work in the UK.
