Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Day Concierge and Maintenance Operative to provide exceptional support within our premises. This role involves ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the facility during weekend daytime hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment, overseeing surveillance systems, and handling basic maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of safety and service. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) to ensure the security of the premises and detect any suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular patrols around the property to oversee safety, loss prevention, and general upkeep.
- Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking lighting, reporting repairs needed, and ensuring facilities are clean and safe.
- Greet visitors and residents in a professional and friendly manner, providing assistance as required.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents or maintenance activities during shifts.
- Assist with access control by managing entry points and visitor sign-in procedures.
- Support in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting findings appropriately.
Experience
- Prior experience in security, surveillance, or customer service roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is desirable.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures, including first aid certification, is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to remain vigilant during long periods of duty.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and visitors.
