Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and skilled Scaffolders to join our dynamic construction team in Southampton. Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently in accordance with industry regulations and project specifications
- Inspect scaffolding regularly for stability, safety, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, roofers, electricians, and masons to ensure scaffolding meets project needs
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble scaffolding components accurately
- Assist with fabrication and customization of scaffolding elements as required for specific site conditions
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris appropriately
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure team well-being
Requirements
- Proven experience in scaffolding installation and dismantling on construction sites
- Strong knowledge of construction-related skills such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication is highly desirable
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to scaffolding work
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues across trades
- Relevant certifications or licenses in scaffolding or working at heights are preferred but not mandatory
