N&T Civils Ltd specialise in all aspects of groundwork, civils work, drainage including foundations etc. We work throughout the North East, including Teesside and County Durham. We are looking to employ Site Managers to be responsible for all sub-contractors from project commencement to final completion, ensuring projects are adequately resourced, managed safely and completed as per our programme, whilst maximising efficiency and profitability.
Your working pattern and salary will be discussed at point of interview dependant on your experience. Your primary role will be responsibility for the day to day management of site.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on site operatives to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Take ownership of all aspects of each project from commencement through to completion.
- Provide project direction, focus and consistency.
- Ensure staff have received or are scheduled to receive adequate training to carry out their role on the project.
Job Role Requirements
- Ensuring all sites are set up correctly including all relevant H&S prior to works commencing and managing this throughout the project to ensure compliance. Assistance and support will be provided from Contracts Managers and Head Office as and when required.
- Preparation and delivery of site-specific construction phase plan, site inductions as well as reviewing sub-contractor RAMS to ensure compliance.
- Attendance, preparation, and reporting for all meetings in relation to the project.
- Ability to work within agreed timescales in line with the site programme.
- Lead and manage all on site operatives.
- Managing the delivery, storage and use of materials on site.
- Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork.
- Delivering excellent customer service to the clients.
Your Requirements
- SSS.
- SMSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- Experience of managing large construction projects.
- Ability to provide solutions to problems that may arise on site.
- Capability to complete a project as per the programme and evidence of this.
- Competent in carrying out all expected pre commencement tasks.
- Good man management skills.
- To assist the Contracts Manager with pre-start details.
- To report to the Contracts Manager on the progress of the project.
- Ensure full compliance with all H&S aspects whilst fully understanding the company’s SHEQ policy.
- Enforcement of company required H&S procedures including but not restricted to; site inductions, PPE, management of Method Statements & Risk Assessments, identify training needs, in-house audits and site housekeeping.
If the suitable candidate requires any training/certificates refreshing or renewing the company will be able to assist with this.
