We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician / Security Engineer to join our Asset Compliance team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, and maintaining electrical and fire safety systems across our properties.
You’ll play a vital part in ensuring our systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently—helping us deliver a high-quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and fire safety equipment

Test and maintain emergency lighting systems across residential schemes

Complete portable appliance testing (PAT)

Support fire alarm testing and inspections (weekly, six-monthly, and annual)

Assist with servicing of AOV and fire safety systems
-
Maintain and repair door entry and access control systems, including automated gates

Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works and repairs
-
Ensure all work is completed in line with British Standards and best practice

Use handheld devices to accurately record inspections and works

Work independently and collaboratively with the wider electrical team
What We’re Looking For
Essential
-
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrotechnical Installation/Maintenance
-
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
-
Experience in access control and door entry systems
-
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
-
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
-
Awareness of health & safety, including lone working
-
Physically fit for on-site work (including ladder use)
-
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
-
C&G 2394 & 2395 (Inspection & Testing)
-
Knowledge of BS5839 (Fire Alarm Systems)
-
Experience with emergency lighting, PAT testing, and fire safety systems

Understanding of mechanical and electrical servicing procedures
