Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, including basic food production and cooking when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations across all operations.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and beverages.
- Train new team members in service procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Assist in organising special events or promotions to boost sales and customer engagement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination between food preparation and beverage services.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in bars or restaurants.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel service is highly desirable.
- Barista experience is advantageous for understanding beverage crafting standards.
- Good communication skills coupled with a friendly, approachable demeanour suitable for guest interaction.
