Early Years Deputy Nursery Manager (2 Positions Available)

Permanent, Minimum 33 hours per week. Shift Pattern: 4 days per week (Includes 2x 8:00am starts and 2x 6:00pm finishes)
Due to an exciting period of expansion, our welcoming, family-run private day nursery is growing! We now have two fantastic leadership positions available across our beautifully equipped Lancaster sites.
Are you an experienced Early Years leader looking for a role that perfectly balances hands-on teaching with dedicated management time? This unique role is meticulously split to give you the best of both worlds: 2 days completely office-based to focus on administration, compliance, and leadership, and 2 days counted in the floor ratios to inspire our staff and interact with our wonderful children.

Key Responsibilities
- Nursery Leadership: Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of your designated site, stepping up to lead in their absence.
- Office & Administration (2 Days): Manage parent enquiries, update learning software, assist with staff rotas, and ensure strict compliance with EYFS framework and Ofsted regulations.
- Practice & Mentoring (2 Days): Work directly on the floor in ratio, role-modelling exceptional early years practice, mentoring room leaders, and ensuring high-quality care.
- Safeguarding: Act as a Deputy DSL to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: A minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (Level 5, Degree, or EYTS is highly desirable).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager, Third-in-Charge, or an experienced Senior Room Leader looking to step up, or a practitioner with more than 2 years experience.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a rota that includes two 8:00am starts and two 6:00pm finishes.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of the EYFS, excellent communication skills, and confidence using nursery management software.
