As a Spinal Injury Carer with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, 1:1 care to a service user. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Provide full personal care and support with daily living activities.
- Assist with manual handling, including hoist use.
- Administer medication safely and in line with care plans.
- Deliver catheter care and bowel and bladder management.
- Monitor and manage Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
- Build a strong, trusting relationship with the service user while promoting independence and dignity.
To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience working with spinal injury clients.
- Experience managing Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD).
- Competency in medication administration and manual handling.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (9am–9pm) and waking night shifts (9pm–9am), across a 7-day rota.
- Calm, professional, and reliable approach to care.
- Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
