Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Linen Porter to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling and distribution of linen supplies across the hotel, ensuring cleanliness and organisation in linen storage areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our establishment while gaining valuable experience within the hospitality industry. Prior hotel experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Collect, transport, and distribute clean linen to various departments within the hotel
- Collect soiled linen from designated areas and ensure proper handling for laundry processing
- Maintain organisation and cleanliness of linen storage rooms and carts
- Assist with loading and unloading linen deliveries from suppliers or laundry services
- Ensure linen supplies are stocked appropriately to meet daily operational needs
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling linen and operating equipment
- Report any issues with linen supplies or storage areas to management promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle manual tasks such as lifting and moving linen bundles
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
