Job description
We are looking for a 7.5 Ton Driver with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, a CPC and a Digital Tachograph Card. No DR or IN for insurance purposes.
The ideal candidate must be reliable and have good time keeping. They must have a flexible approach with the ability to carry out a wide variety of tasks and adapt to the changing needs of the company.
This is a permanent full time multi-drop delivery position and requires all successful candidates to be well presented as a uniform will be provided, be customer focused and to possess a ‘can do’ attitude. You will deliver a range of chilled and frozen produce to various companies across the country.
The role involves working a 40-hour week Monday to Friday, with expectation of overtime. As for the starting times – they usually start as a rule at 4am but on occasion can be earlier or later depending on particular routes. There will be no nights away as vehicles will be returned to depot after your shift.
As a general rule you will keep to your own vehicle and therefore it is your daily duty to ‘maintain’ your vehicle, such as oil, water and fuel and report any other faults.
Key Responsibilities
Obtaining signatures for stock delivered on account.
Collecting and keeping secure all monies outstanding to the company as advised verbally or noted on the invoice.
Being aware of and completing as necessary all company required documentation.
On return, clearing your vehicle of any returns.
Making management aware of all vehicle defects and maintenance requirements as soon as possible.
Helping to keep our delivery fleet clean and in good working order at all times.
Breaks paid for.
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
