We are currently looking for a part time dental receptionist for our established private practice located in the heart of Alton, Hampshire.
Reception working hours:
Mondays: 8:00 - 19:30
Tuesdays: 8:00 - 17:30
Fridays: 8:00 - 17:30
About the ideal candidate:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a friendly personality who is interested in working as part of a team. You need to be pro-active, a good listener, have a caring attitude and excellent telephone manners.
The ideal candidate will have previous reception/ customer service experience, preferably in a medical/dental environment.
In addition, the ideal candidate should also have experience in managing and creating content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, Tikok) and using platforms for marketing leads.
Dental nurse registration with the GDC will be preferred
Reception responsibility will include:
- Welcoming all patients arriving at the practice
- Making sure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate
- Collecting and recording patient payment
- Making sure that patient records are completed correctly before filing and storing them in an efficient, tidy and secure manner
- Completing and returning relevant forms for private schemes within a specified timescale
- Encouraging prompt payments and chasing outstanding debts according to the practice policy
- Liaising with dental laboratories and other organisations as per requirement
- Sending out patient recalls and newsletters
- Following up with treatment plans
- Keeping the reception area and waiting room clean and tidy
- Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice
- Undergoing training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities
- Attending refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR, attend and participate in practice meetings
Finance
· Ensure the operation of the patient payment policy and the collection of outstanding debts
Patients
· Ensure efficient operation of the patient recall system, following up treatment plans, monitoring of social media and patients platforms
Salary
· Salary to be discussed at interview stage
Expected Start Date: 22/06/26 - An earlier or later date can be agreed.
