Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Scotland’s largest Prep School, located in the Cramond area of Edinburgh.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining school cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the school, supervising the cleaning team and the ordering and replenishment of stock and supplies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
To work weekly split shift pattern of early starts and later finishes to accommodate the operation of the school.
Shift Pattern: A split shift pattern covering before and after school. The role will interact and help with all cleaners and their cleaning shifts.
Holiday: 40 days pro-rata (including bank holidays)

Report to: Bursar
Responsibilities
- Cleaning: A 'can do' attitude, to ensure a first class standard of cleaning is maintained throughout the school, ensuring that all cleaning is undertaken safely and hygienically;
- Supervising: Making sure the Cleaning team are working efficiently and all areas are being cleaned properly and to the required standard. Reporting back any issues to the Bursar.
- To work as part of the domestic cleaning team;
- To undertake appropriate training as required;
- Any other reasonable request from the Bursar or Headmaster.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience;
- Readiness to work with health & safety and child protection legislation;
- Flexible approach to work;
- High standards;
- A 'can do' attitude.
