An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Witton Castle Country Park as an Evening Security Guard / Park Warden.
Set within 330 acres of stunning countryside surrounding a historic castle, Witton Castle Country Park is one of the North East’s leading holiday home and leisure destinations. We are looking for a reliable, professional and self-motivated individual to provide overnight security and operational support across the holiday park and estate.
This is a key role within the business, helping to ensure the safety, security and smooth operation of the park whilst delivering excellent customer service to our guests and holiday home owners.
Working Pattern
- 4 evenings on, 4 evenings off rota
- 6:00pm – 6:00am (12-hour shifts)
- Weekend and Bank Holiday working is essential
- Additional shifts may be available to cover holidays and sickness when required
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a visible security presence throughout the park and castle grounds.
- Conducting regular patrols of the holiday park, holiday home areas, facilities and wider estate.
- Checking guests and visitors into the park using the park barrier and access control systems.
- Responding professionally to guest enquiries and providing assistance when required.
- Monitoring and reporting any suspicious activity, security concerns or incidents.
- Ensuring park rules and site regulations are adhered to.
- Carrying out routine checks of facilities, buildings, gates, barriers and communal areas.
- Assisting with emergency situations and liaising with emergency services when necessary.
- Completing security logs, incident reports and handover documentation.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards and health & safety concerns.
- Supporting the wider park team with general operational duties where required.
- Assisting in maintaining the high standards expected throughout the park and estate.
The Ideal Candidate
- Reliable, trustworthy and highly responsible.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions when required.
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Flexible and willing to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Friendly and approachable with good customer service skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Physically capable of carrying out regular patrols across a large holiday park environment.
- Previous experience in security, caretaking, facilities, hospitality or a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence essential.
