Experienced Gardener Required – 1 Day Per Week (Long-Term) – Lancaster
We are looking for an experienced and reliable gardener to maintain a large private garden in Lancaster.
This is a long-term position for one 8-hour day per week, with work continuing throughout the winter months at 4 hours per day. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail to keep the garden looking its best all year round.
Requirements:
- Proven gardening experience is essential.
- Must provide your own tools and equipment.
- Must have a suitable vehicle or trailer to remove green waste when required.
- Good knowledge of plant care, pruning, hedge cutting, lawn maintenance, weeding, and seasonal garden maintenance.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Experience maintaining large gardens is preferred.
The role includes:
- Lawn care and edging
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Weeding and border maintenance
- Planting and general garden care
- Leaf clearance and seasonal tidy-ups
- General upkeep to ensure the garden remains in excellent condition throughout the year
- Removing green waste from the property and taking it to the local recycling centre/tip as required. Any trips to dispose of green waste should be carried out within the allocated working day.
Location: Lancaster
Hours: One 8-hour day per week (flexible on which day), reduced to 4 hours per day during winter months
Pay: £20 per hour
