Private Client Solicitor (3–5 Years PQE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor (3–5 years' PQE), CILEX Lawyer or equivalent to join the highly regarded Private Client team of a well-established regional law firm based in Solihull.
This position is ideal for a lawyer looking to take the next step in their career with a firm that offers high-quality work, genuine career progression and a supportive team environment.
The Role
You'll manage your own varied caseload of private client matters while providing practical, tailored advice to a diverse client base. The successful candidate will handle work including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Inheritance Tax planning
- Trust creation and administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection applications and deputyship matters
- Asset protection and succession planning
- Later-life planning, including care fee considerations and capacity issues
You'll work closely with executors, trustees, beneficiaries and attorneys, while also developing relationships with financial advisers, accountants and other professional contacts to deliver a first-class client service.
The role also offers the opportunity to become involved in networking and business development activities to help grow the firm's already strong reputation within the local community.
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) or equivalent
- 3–5 years' experience in Private Client law within a UK law firm
- Strong knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, LPAs and Court of Protection matters
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP is desirable
- The ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with an interest in business development
