Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Freelance/ Self-Employed Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging environment for students of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the needs of students at different skill levels.
- Teach various dance styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and more.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate technique, choreography, and performance skills.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their dancing abilities.
- Organise and participate in recitals, competitions, and other performance opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming studio environment for all participants.
Skills
- Proficient in multiple dance styles with a strong foundation in technique.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
- Strong organisational skills to manage lesson planning and class schedules efficiently.
- Patience and adaptability when working with diverse student groups.
- Previous teaching or coaching experience is advantageous but not essential. Training can be given for the right individual.

Desirable:
- Additional qualifications are an added bonus, so please share these if you have them. Eg. Fitness Instructor, Pilates or yoga instructor, additional styles of dance such as Latin/ Ballroom, acro qualifications.
You must have a First Aid qualification or be willing to attend a course.
You must be Enhanced DBS or be willing to undergo the relevant checks.
You must hold the relevant insurance or be willing to arrange this for yourself as a self-employed member of the team.
Please note we are looking for someone long term who would like to grow with the school, rather than someone who is after part time or temporary work alongside performing.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: £19.50-£26.00 per hour
