Bar & Family Functions Event Manager
Job Type: Flexible Part-time (including evenings and weekends)
Location: Brentwood, Billericay and Chelmsford.
Salary: Hourly rate depending on experience.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly organised bar & Family Functions Event Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on management role where you will be responsible for the managing the bar,events and functions from start to finish, ensuring every private function and public event runs smoothly while delivering outstanding customer service.
You will oversee the bar operation, manage staff & security, coordinate events, and lead by example to maintain the highest standards throughout the venue and making sure the customer is happy from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and prepare the venue before each shift, ensuring all bar areas are fully stocked and ready for service.
- Carry out accurate stock takes and maintain an organised, tidy stockroom.
- Manage staffing levels for each event, including coordinating entertainment and security where required.
- Ensure the venue is clean, well-presented, and maintained to the highest standards at all times.
- Reporting repairs and maintenance to senior management.
- Complete end-of-shift cashing up, staff timesheets, and all relevant paperwork accurately.
- Arrange weekly cleaning schedules.
- Keep external areas, including the car park and entrance, clean and welcoming.
- Provide accurate information regarding bookings and events to customers.
- Carry out all opening and closing procedures.
- Plan, organise, and manage public events from start to finish.
- Provide excellent customer service.

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour
