Due to increased demand for our services we are expanding our technical operation and we require another highly motivated technician to join our team.
Our work is “giving people their lives back” after fire and water damage to homes and businesses. We carry out our practical and technical work, right in our customer's homes and businesses, usually while they are present.
Our work is very important to our customers suffering as a result of fire or flood events. Their normal life is put on hold and we focus on "giving you your life back" and as soon as possible.

"the work". This is an inescapable reality. We are a 24 hour response Company with fire and flood damage events occurring at any time and can impact us outside 'normal' working hours of 9-5.

The work
· Each job starts with meeting the customer and gaining an understanding of their needs and concerns. You are ready to help them.
· You would be driving a fully equipped “Quick Response” van, prepared to carry out urgent work such as water extraction, decontamination after flooding, detection of trapped moisture , installation of drying equipment and our remote moisture monitoring systems.
· On other visits you could be installing equipment to release trapped moisture, adjust drying equipment or carry out other work that needs to be completed to assist the customer get back to normal.
· Your commute from home to be within a 40 minute drive to our Bracknell depot. Postcode: RG12 1GJ.
· The work will require travelling away from area to assist with jobs at other depots.
About you

· You have a strong desire to complete tasks fully, including associated record keeping. This will involve accurate and detailed report writing, inventories and auditing.
· You have good problem solving and decision-making skills – the ability to take ownership of decisions, think through problems logically and explain your reasoning when required, plus sound judgement to escalate an issue when required
· You are confident heading up small work teams and able to effectively plan and supervise their work on site.
· You are open to varied working hours knowing that this is not a 'regular' 9-5 job.
· You will be required to work overtime and to join the on call rota (about one in four weeks). This rota allow us to rapidly respond to emergency incidents outside of normal working hours.
· You will be required to work away to assist and support your colleagues in other depots.
· You will be expected to respond when there are occasional and unusual severe weather events, when we have many customers in distress at one time. We are highly motivated to help at these times. These events can necessitate a companywide response, and extended working for a few weeks.
Your background
Individuals from a diverse range of industries have successfully joined us over the years, including Building Maintenance, Construction, Military, Engineering, Fire Service and many other practical industries.
A DBS check is ESSENTIAL for this position.
A clean driving licence or NO MORE than THREE points on your licence due to the 'on the road' nature of this role.
