If you are keen to help young people in our county thrive and undertake experiences of the workplace, then you may be the perfect fit for our East Sussex Careers Hub Modern Work Experience Co-ordinator in the Employability and Skills team at East Sussex County Council. The Employment and Skills team are recruiting for a Modern Work Experience Co-ordinator to lead the modern work experience agenda within the Careers Hub.
The role will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the programme, from planning and stakeholder engagement to delivery and evaluation, ensuring that outcomes are met and impact is achieved.
The project aligns with the “Equalex” framework, created by the Careers and Enterprise Company to ensure modern work experience is embedded for all young people from Years 7 – 11. You’ll play a key role in embedding this approach across our local education and employer networks.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Knowledge of national/local skills, employment policy, and careers education pathways for young people
- Understanding of East Sussex’s economy, priorities, and employer engagement for meaningful workplace experiences
- Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate impactful, sustainable projects
- Ability to effectively manage budgets
Full driving licence or ability to meet travel demands
