Key Responsibilities included but not limited to:

- The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child's stage of development.

- Assist with planning a programme of activities, suitable for the age range of the children, following the guidelines for the implementation of the EYFS
- To ensure that safeguarding, health and safety and security measures are constantly maintained.
- To provide the highest standards of quality care and education.

- To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, policy and procedures.
- To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents.
- Foresee the needs of Special Needs children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate and work alongside parents of special needs children to give full integration in the Nursery.
- Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
- To attend all out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, parents’ evenings, events, etc.
- To be flexible within working practices of nursery.
- Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, putting out bins, doing the laundry, etc.

Working Week: Minimum 30 hours per week working 3 shifts of 8am-6pm to maximum 40 hours per week over 4 shifts of 8am-6pm to include 6 hours of study per week.
Salary: From £16,926 for a 30-hour week
Qualifications Required:
- GCSE Maths and English will be required to apply for this apprenticeship

About the employer: Ivy Mill Day Nursery is in the heart of the village centre in Liphook, ideally situated close to the village's schools, amenities and main transport links. Ivy Mill opened in October 2022 and is registered with Ofsted for 56 child places across the age groups.
Open 51 weeks of the year, they only close for the Christmas week and offer year-round places between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday, as well as a limited amount of term-time only places.

What you need to know:
- This is 18-month apprenticeship including end point assessment.
- To apply for a Level 3 you will already need to have the Level 2 qualification.
- To apply you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years before the start date of the apprenticeship learning and have authorisation to work in the UK.
- You cannot apply if you already have a qualification equal to or higher than the apprenticeship standard being studied.
- You can apply if you have a higher qualification than the apprenticeship standard in an unrelated subject.
- You should live in the area local to the employer and the college campus offering the apprenticeship.
- This is a combination of work and learning so you will need to commit to the learning and stay at the employers until the apprenticeship is successfully completed.
- Hours are a minimum of 30 per week. If required, this could increase to a maximum of 40 hours per week with a maximum salary of £27,040, which would be discussed with the successful applicant at interview.

Further Information: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £8.00 per hour (As of the 1st April 2026). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16- to 18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
