The Role
Victor Manufacturing are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to lead the painting operations in or brand-new powder coating plant within our well-established manufacturing company.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the powder coating operations ensuring the end product is completed in full, on time and to the highest of quality standards.
Flexibility, reliability and a keen eye for detail is essential in this role.
In addition to the above, the successful individual must highly be organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to grow the department.
· Preparing surfaces for coating, by cleaning, sanding and applying appropriate pre-treatment processes.
· Performing powder coating tasks efficiently and safely ensuring the finished products meet the required quality standards.
· Performing routine maintenance on powder coating plant and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
· Maintaining sufficient stock levels at all times
· Attending the daily production meetings, fully prepared and contributing where required, to ensure deadlines are met.
· Ensure sufficient stock at all times.
· Ensuring all Health and Safety protocols and procedures are adhered to at all times including safe systems of work, correct use of PPE, maintenance of equipment and plant.
· Ensuring all internal and external quality standards are met.
· Provide on the job training to a junior / trainee as and when required.
· Seeking continuous individual and departmental improvements, this will include growing the department and training of others as and when required.
The candidate
Prior Powder Coating Experience – Essential
Exemplary punctuality and attendance– Essential
Flexibility and strong work ethic - Essential
Full UK driving licence – Beneficial
Hours of Work
7:30am – 16:00pm (Mon to Thurs)
7:30am – 15:00pm (Friday)
(39 standard hours per week).
*Some overtime and weekend work will be required on occasions in this role*
