Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the health and beauty of gardens and green spaces. Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems to maintain gardens and landscaped areas effectively.
- Plant, prune, water, fertilise, and weed garden beds to promote healthy growth.
- Operate equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscape maintenance tools.
- Assist with landscape design projects and implement planting schemes according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored correctly after use.
- Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests or diseases, taking appropriate action or reporting issues.
- Support the installation of new gardens or features as required by clients or project plans.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all gardening activities.
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and gardening techniques.
- Growing experience or knowledge of plant care and garden design is advantageous.
- Practical understanding of horticultural principles and landscape aesthetics.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
- A genuine interest in gardening and environmental sustainability is essential for success in this role.
