Thatch House Dental has a great opportunity for you to become a member of our team, we are currently hiring a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our growing team!
This role will be to carry our day to day tasks of a Dental Nurse, performing a wide variety of treatments from general dentistry to cosmetic dentistry, maintaining the clinical environments, adhering to practice policies and processes, supporting the team, working with a very experienced team of Clinicians , Hygienists and Dental Nurses.
Job Type: Full Time - Monday 8:30-17:30, Tuesday 8:30-17:30, Wednesday 8:30-17:30, Thursdays 8:30-17:30, Friday 8:30-17:30 (one hour unpaid lunch break)
Pay: Pay is subject to experience, we are very competitive and open to discussion regarding hourly rate.
To be considered for this role you must have:
The ideal Candidate for the Qualified Dental Nurse will be:
- GDC registered
- Fully Immunized (Hep B)
- Have a minimum of 1 year of chairside experience
- Experience with SOE is desirable (training can be provided)
- Advance their knowledge within the dental industry.
Extra Qualifications would be great but not essential, the hourly rate is competitive based on experience
Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including the equipment
- Carry out infection prevention and control procedures
- Record dental charting and oral tissue assessment carried out by other registrants
- Prepare equipment materials and patients for dental treatments, hygienist and radiography
- Process dental radiographs
- Monitor, support and reassure patients
- Perform the following additional procedures on prescription from or under the direction of, another registrant if qualified to do so: Take radiographs
- Reception Duties when required
- Managing the diary
- Maintaining patient recalls
- Handling payment for patients
- Answering the telephone and communication with patients
- Checking Labwork in and out
- Other administrative duties
- Managing emails

Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- Weekend availability (on call basis Rota approximately 1 weekend per year)
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Northamptonshire/Long Buckby: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Occasional cover at our sister practice in Kibworth
Licence/Certification:
- Valid GDC registration (required)
