Our Minor Injury Units across Oxfordshire care for approximately 5,000 patients each month, delivering high-quality specialist care closer to home and reducing the need for patients to attend acute hospital settings.
As a Specialist Emergency Practitioner, you will be a registered nurse or paramedic with advanced clinical skills and the confidence to assess, diagnose and treat patients autonomously within our Minor Injury Units. You will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, excellent decision-making skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team where collaboration, shared learning and high-quality care are central to everyday practice. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your clinical experience, develop your skills across minor injury and illness pathways, and contribute to the GP Out of Hours environment.
We are committed to supporting your ongoing professional development through a structured programme of training and education. This may include opportunities such as non-medical prescribing and Level 7 leadership development, supported by a tailored development plan and a competency-based portfolio of practice.
The role involves working across a shift pattern that includes weekends, bank holidays and nights. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time permanent positions.
