Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team at Blackloom Cafe & Lounge at Hornchurch! Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and care
- Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and providing friendly service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper hygiene practices and handling procedures
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods as needed
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Monitor stock levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking items to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
- Proven barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Experience serving customers in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
- Good math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset to contribute to a lively work environment
