At North East Lincolnshire Council, we are ambitious for all children and young people. We are seeking an organised and creative Youth Development Co-ordinator in this exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing how we listen to children and young people, learn from their lived experience, and use their views to shape strategy, services and partnership priorities for young people in our borough.
About the role
As Youth Development Co-ordinator, you will co-ordinate and lead elements of youth voice functions across children’s services and the wider children’s system. You will support the implementation and review of the NEL Youth Strategy, strengthen youth partnership board governance and reporting arrangements, and help ensure young people’s feedback meaningfully influences planning, transformation and delivery.
What you will be doing?
You will play a key role in ensuring that children and young people's voices are at the heart of decision-making across North East Lincolnshire. You will lead and develop innovative engagement, consultation and co-production opportunities, empowering young people to influence the services, strategies and support that affect their lives.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and communities, you will ensure that the views and experiences of children and young people help shape strategic priorities, service development and partnership working. You will support the delivery and ongoing development of the NEL Youth Strategy, driving forward key workstreams and ensuring meaningful participation remains a core part of our approach.
The role involves coordinating governance, performance monitoring and reporting arrangements, providing oversight and assurance on progress while maintaining a focus on delivering positive outcomes. You will build strong relationships across Children's Services, schools, partner agencies and the voluntary and community sector, creating opportunities for collaboration and shared learning.
A confident communicator, you will produce high-quality reports, briefings, presentations and communications for a wide range of audiences. Above all, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement, using a "listen, learn, review and adapt" approach to ensure that services remain responsive to the needs of children and young people and that their voices lead to real and lasting change.

- Has experience of engagement, participation or co-production activity
- Is passionate about can working collaboratively to improve outcomes for children and young people
- Has excellent organisational and analytical skills and can manage complex workstreams
- Has strong communication and relationship building skills and can communicate clearly with different audiences
- Can lead, support and champion inclusive, accessible and influential engagement
- Is relational, strengths based and solution focussed and can turn insight into action
