Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi Drop Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated routes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to manage deliveries in a timely manner. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vans to complete multiple daily drops across various locations
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly for transit
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt of goods
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during all operations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organisation and heavy lifting when required
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial or warehouse environment
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong driving skills with experience in commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Good communication skills for liaising with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling goods or equipment
- Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic regulations is advantageous
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of loading, unloading, and long periods of driving
