We have a vacancy for a Salon Manager at our Huntly Street, Inverness salon. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced manager or a Senior Therapist looking to move into a management role. This role will be 5 days a week normally Tuesday-Saturday. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years salon experience. Candidates will ideally have experience with Elemis Skincare, Hot Stones Massage, Intimate Waxing and Gel Polish. However additional training will be provided to the right candidate.
Salary is based on 40 hours per week over 5 days. There is a bonus payment equivalent to up to £400 per month available on top of base salary as well as retail bonus and tips.
JOB PURPOSE
- Manages the efficient and profitable running of the salon
- Responsible for the entire team including reception.
- To lead by example demonstrating the highest standard of professionalism at all times.
- Complete a comprehensive check of the salon before it opens and during the day, arranging for any necessary changes to schedules etc to be carried out. Carry out room audits every day to ensure high standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicated the Sleeping Beauty culture of service to clients and staff.
- Completes the Daily Huddle to make sure all staff are aware of any issues and aims of the day.
- Encourages and motivates the reception staff to ensure high standards of performance and delivery.
- Manages the day to day staffing of the reception desk ensuring adequate staffing at all times.
- Ensures the reception area is presented to the highest standard.
- Manages all reception activities and ensures that all client bookings/bills are dealt with courteously and efficiently.
- Takes overall responsibility for daily banking.
- To ensure salon cleanliness and maintenance is in keeping with the company’s general policy on services.
DELEGATION/COMMUNICATION
- Delegates appropriate tasks for therapists to do when they are not fully engaged with clients.
- To monitor, motivate and encourage the team to reach their financial targets.
- Communicates, deals with appropriately and records any issues/complaints.
- Provides induction training for all new staff to include job descriptions, health and safety, fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- To attend staff meetings as/when required.
SUPPLIERS
- Liaise with product companies, reviewing current ranges, identifying new products and potential promotions with the salon directors.
- Assist with ordering stock, maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring value for money.
