We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to assist a 60-year-old male client with complex care needs following a serious accident.
About the Client:
- Male, 60 years old
- Brachial Plexus Injury with limited mobility on the left side
- History of broken legs and ribs from the accident
- Requires support with daily initiation and attends a rehab gym twice a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with medication collection and management
- Provide transportation as required, to collect medications, go to the gym, and going out an about.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) for ongoing rehabilitation
- Carry out light housekeeping duties
- Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs
- Some gardening duties, like cutting the grass and maintaining shrubbery.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting clients with mobility and rehabilitation needs preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full driving license and clean driving record essential
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 6 hours per day.
