About Us
Rothdean Limited is a well-established commercial vehicle, HGV and trailer manufacturer specializing in the servicing, repair, refurbishment, and preparation of commercial vehicles and trailers. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Paint Sprayer and Finisher to join our workshop team and help maintain the high standards of finish our customers expect.
The Role
As a Paint Sprayer and Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing commercial vehicles, HGV trailers, and associated components. You will ensure all work is completed to a high standard, producing durable, high-quality finishes while working safely and efficiently within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle and trailer panels for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
- Mix paints and coatings to the correct specifications.
- Apply paint using spray equipment to achieve a finish within company expectations.
- Carry out refinishing work on commercial vehicles, trailers, and individual components.
- Inspect completed work to ensure colour matching and finish meet company quality standards.
- Rectify minor paint defects through polishing, flattening, and finishing techniques.
- Maintain spraying area, equipment, and tools in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe handling and storage of paints and hazardous materials.
- Work closely with workshop colleagues to ensure jobs are completed on time and to customer expectations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Vehicle Refinisher, or similar role.
- Knowledge of vehicle preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.
- Good understanding of paint mixing and colour matching.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and safety.
Desirable
- Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers, or industrial equipment.
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle refinishing or paint spraying.
- Full UK driving licence.
