About the Role
We’re looking for a Facilities Support Operative to join our Facilities team and help keep our sites clean, safe, well maintained and presentable.
This is a hands on, practical role offering a good routine with plenty of variety, including both indoor and outdoor tasks. You will work as part of a Facilities team, sharing the key duties and responsibilities across the team to ensure day to day facilities requirements are completed effectively.
Key Duties
· Work as part of the Facilities team, sharing daily duties and responsibilities to ensure all required facilities activities are completed across the site.
· Carry out cleaning of factory floors, walkways, production areas and shared spaces using manual and ride on cleaning equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
· Ensure indoor and outdoor areas are kept tidy and free from debris, including organising pallets and removing potential slip and trip hazards.
· Empty and manage general waste and recycling bins across factory, office, welfare and external areas, ensuring waste is correctly separated and disposed of.
· Wash and clean company vehicles, trucks and plant equipment using approved methods and equipment.
· Clean internal and external windows, doors, entrances and other areas to maintain a professional appearance across the site.
· Support general facilities and maintenance activities, including assisting with servicing and site improvement works where required.
· Carry out routine site and facilities inspections using a handheld electronic device, accurately recording inspection findings and identifying any defects, damage, housekeeping issues or safety concerns requiring attention.
· Complete grounds maintenance activities including grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf collection and keeping external areas clean and presentable.
· Support seasonal activities including winter gritting, gutter cleaning and preparing the site for adverse weather conditions.
· Assist with other reasonable facilities related duties as required to support the effective day to day operation of the site.

· Comfortable carrying out hands on work within both factory and outdoor environments.
· Able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team and sharing responsibilities.
· Comfortable using a handheld device or tablet to complete inspections and record information electronically.
· Able to organise and manage daily tasks effectively.
· Good awareness of workplace health and safety.
· Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support different facilities activities when required.
Pay from £12.71 per hour (depending on experience)
