Casual Front of House – Barista Experience Required

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to join our friendly front-of-house team at the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum! As a Casual Team Member, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional catering services from different outlets at Westonbirt. Whether it's serving barista style coffee, tempting cakes and lunch from the Kitchen Restaurants, freshly made sandwiches, ice cream, other take away snacks and coffee from the Pantry or freshly made pizzas from the Smokehouse, you'll be part of a team dedicated to providing outstanding service and ensuring visitors have a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities include, although not limited to:
Exceptional customer service skills, greet and assist visitors with a friendly and positive attitude to ensure their needs are met.
Serving food and drinks, taking and preparing customer orders efficiently.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to.
Using tills, handling cash/card transactions accurately.
Clearing tables and restocking areas.
Operating coffee machines to prepare barista-style coffee in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborating with team members to deliver seamless and excellent customer service
Requirements of the role:
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Barista experience in a busy setting is a bonus
Availability for working at least one day at the weekend is required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent customer service skills
Team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to take on various tasks as required.
Work as part of a team to keep the café running smoothly
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of 1 year's barista experience (essential)
Previous experience in a busy café, coffee shop or similar front-of-house environment
Friendly, professional and passionate about delivering excellent customer service
Reliable, punctual and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability to work daytime shifts during the week. Casual team members must be available to work at least one weekend day on a regular basis
Due to the remote location of this site, there is no public transport available. Applicants must have a reliable means of travelling to and from work for all scheduled shifts.
