Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Dairy Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with expertise in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems within the dairy manufacturing industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead maintenance activities, optimise equipment performance, and ensure the smooth operation of dairy processing facilities. Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform maintenance on dairy processing equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards are maintained.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and automation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Programme and modify programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct welding and other mechanical repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Supervise maintenance teams or contractors during repair activities, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing downtime, and enhancing product quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by liaising with internal teams to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications for compliance purposes.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations across all tasks undertaken.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for industrial environments.
- Demonstrable electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge relevant to dairy processing equipment.
- Experience in maintenance planning, execution, and supervision within a manufacturing context.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Previous supervising or leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process optimisation. Candidates must possess relevant technical qualifications or certifications related to electrical or mechanical engineering within the dairy or food manufacturing sectors. The role is paid accordingly for all levels of experience and expertise.
Pay: £24,420.00-£42,000.00 per year
