Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring environments are hygienic, safe, and welcoming for clients and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning to contribute to a professional and efficient service. Working hours are Monday - Thursday - 5pm - 8pm and Friday - 1pm - 5pm
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet roll, and soap dispensers as needed.
- Dispose of waste materials responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within designated timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of different cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations will be beneficial.
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail and organisational skills is essential for success in this role.
