Due to the ongoing company growth, Thomas Plant Hire are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated HGV Class 2 Plant Driver to join the team at our Billingham Depot.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family owned & run company that has successfully grown nationwide and continues to grow rapidly.
You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of Plant Equipment to and from customers, depots, businesses, or home addresses. You will be required to fill out 'check sheets' at drop-off and pick-up, these are used to report any existing or new damages to the Equipment. Thomas Plant are a busy operation, and this will be a permanent Position.
For this position, you will need to have a valid Class two licence. You must also have no more than 6 points for minor offences and have held your licence for 2 years or more. Your CPC must be up to date.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 Rigid HGV Plant Lorry to transport machinery from one location to another
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload Plant
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
