About the Role
Justteachers are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Halifax. This role will involve supporting pupils with a variety of additional learning needs and helping them access a positive and engaging educational experience. The successful candidate will provide both classroom and individual support, adapting learning activities where necessary and fostering confidence, independence, and personal growth. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support.
- Assist pupils with additional educational needs.
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual requirements.
- Promote emotional wellbeing and confidence.
- Support classroom routines and behaviour expectations.
- Work closely with teaching staff and parents.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting SEN pupils.
- Understanding of inclusive education practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patient and nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
